Hurricane Debby makes landfall in Florida's Big Bend

At 5 p.m., the center of Tropical Storm Debby was located about 30 miles southeast of Valdosta, Georgia, and moving northeast at 6 miles per hour. The system had maximum sustained winds of 50 miles per hour with higher gusts.

A tropical storm watch means tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area, generally within 48 hours. A tropical storm warning means tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area in the next 36 hours.
The NHC said that on the current forecast track, the center of the system will move across southeastern Georgia Monday night and Tuesday and move offshore of the South Carolina coast by late Tuesday and Wednesday.
