The following closings have been reported to the ABC Action Newsroom due to Hurricane Michael.

Citrus County

  • Citrus County Schools and all after-school events will be canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 10.

 

Manatee County:

  • Anna Maria Elementary will be closed on Wednesday, October 10 due to water levels associated with Hurricane Michael, and the uncertainties surrounding additional street flooding due to rains or storm surge.
  • In addition, there will be no school bus transportation for island students who attend other schools on the mainland. Any students who have to miss school as a result of these decisions will receive an excused absence for the day. There will be no school bus transportation to the island on Wednesday, October 10.

 

College and Universities:

  • FLORIDA A&M UNIVERSITY
    • FAMU's main campus, DRS & the Crestview site will close at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday through Fri. Classes are expected to resume on Monday, 10/15. 

 

  • FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY 
    • FSU Tallahassee and Panama City campuses will close at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and will remain closed through Friday.

 

  • TALLAHASSEE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
    • TCC will close at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday through Fri. Classes are expected to resume on Monday, 10/15.

 

  • UNIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA
    • UWF will close at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday through Wednesday, 10/10.
