Tropical Storm Dorian is still a few days away from hitting the United States (most likely as a hurricane) but it is already wreaking havoc on travel plans.
On Wednesday, we discovered that at least 12 cruise ships' itineraries from Disney (1), Royal Caribbean (7), & Carnival (4) were modified to avoid Dorian.

Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line altered the itineraries of four of their ships in order to avoid the current path of Tropical Storm Dorian.
- Carnival Breeze
- Carnival Sunrise
- Carnival Elation
- Carnival Magic
Dorian is forecast to be a hurricane when it makes landfall, possibly even as a category 3.
Disney Cruise Lines released the following statement on the storm:
The safety and well-being of our Guests and Crew Members is our highest priority. We modified the Disney Fantasy itinerary in order to stay a safe distance away from the storm. Instead of calling on Tortola and St. Thomas yesterday and today, the Disney Fantasy called on Grand Cayman yesterday and Cozumel today. Any Port Adventures that were booked for Tortola and St. Thomas were automatically removed from Guests’ stateroom accounts. We will continue to monitor the path of Tropical Storm Dorian and make additional itinerary changes as needed.
