Cool and sunny weather returns today.
We'll see some clouds this morning and temperatures in the 50s. Drier, air though will move in on north winds and the clouds should quickly give way to sunny skies as we move through the morning. Look for plenty of sun through the afternoon with highs in the 60s.
Temperatures will fall back into the 40s overnight. Wednesday and Thursday look for cloudy periods with some sun and highs in the 60s on both days. The clouds at times will make it feel cooler. A stray raindrop is possible though overall the air will be too dry to support much rain.
Yesterday some of the model data was hinting at a wave of low pressure in our area on Friday. This would have brought us quite a bit of rain. Well, today, none of the models are showing this so as of this morning, things look to stay dry through Friday.
There has however been a slight change in the timing of our next front. It now looks like instead of moving through late on Sunday, the next cold front will be in our area as early as Saturday night. This could mean a couple of showers Saturday afternoon or evening followed by a higher chance of rain overnight Saturday into Sunday. Sct'd showers could remain in the area through much of Sunday.
With this timing adjustment, it looks like Saturday will be the better of the two weekend days. Temperatures will be milder, in the 70s, and we'll see mostly dry weather during the daylight hours. Sunday could feature more clouds and falling temps by the afternoon.
I'll keep you updated.
