The westbound lanes of Hillsborough Avenue between Nebraska Avenue and Cherokee Avenue will close on Saturday, May 5 for utility maintenance work.
A department contractor is repairing a sanitary sewer pipeline.
The closure will affect the following traffic patterns:
- The westbound exit onto Hillsborough Avenue for motorists traveling north on I-275 will be closed.
- Westbound traffic on Hillsborough Avenue will be detoured at Nebraska Avenue.
Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists around the closures.
The repairs will be complete by Sunday, May 6 and normal traffic patterns will resume.
