USL Championship Final canceled after additional positive COVID-19 tests by the Rowdies

TAMPA, Fla. — The USL Championship Final has been canceled due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests by the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

The Rowdies said on Saturday, the team found a number of additional positive coronavirus tests among the group.

On Friday, it was announced that head coach Neill Collins and two other members of the organization tested positive for the virus.

Due to the additional positive tests, the championship game against the Phoenix Rising FC has been canceled.

"All impacted personnel are under the care of team physicians and infectious disease experts and are following the protocols set forth by the USL in accordance with state and local health authorities," the Rowdies said.
