TAMPA, Fla. -- University of South Florida's football players will need to take the COVID-19 test before every football game this season.

The American Athletic Conference announced it is looking to get ahead of any testing protocols for fall sports.

Under the AAC's rules, players in every sport will get swabbed at least 72 hours in advance.

The rule also applies to in-state and conference rival UCF Knights.
