TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Lightning announced their 2021 regular-season schedule.

The schedule features a 56-game slate with the Bolts opening the season on January 13 against the Chicago Blackhawks and wrapping up the season on May 8 against the Florida Panthers.

Tampa Bay will play each divisional opponent eight times and will not compete against other divisions during the regular season.

The Lightning will play an even split of 28 games at home and 28 road games.

Tampa Bay fans also got some disappointing news on Nikita Kucherov.

On Wednesday, GM GM Julien BriseBois announced that Kucherov will not be playing this upcoming season due to injuries.
