TAMPA, Fla. — The Buccaneers went with defense in the second round of the NFL Draft, picking Minnesota safety Antoine Winfield, Jr. 45th overall.
Winfield was a unanimous first-team all-American in 2019. He led the Gophers with 88 tackles, and he was tied for fourth in the FBS with seven interceptions. Winfield, a redhirt sophomore, finished his college career with 177 tackles.
