CLEARWATER, Fla. — As if Buccaneers fans didn’t need another reason to get pumped up for Sunday’s huge game, a new fight song has just been released.

It’s called “We’re Going to Buc You Up,” and it’s sung by the local band Soul Circus Cowboys.

“It’s loud, it’s gnarly, just like our Tampa Bay Buccaneers team, we want to scare them back to Kansas City,” said lead singer Billy McKnight.

McKnight has been going to Bucs games ever since their inaugural season.

“Since 76, I was 10, my father took me to the first game and we’ve had season tickets ever since,” said McKnight.

This superfan has been waiting a long time to unleash a new fight song onto Tampa Bay.

“We got Brady whose the G.O.A.T., we are going to the Super Bowl, and we needed a new anthem and so we got the pencils out and we wrote 'We Are Going to Buc You Up,'" said McKnight.

“If you made this song last year it would have been, ‘we’re going to be picked off,’ because of Winston,” joked band member Dewey Buxton.

McKnight has been a long time friend of the Buccaneers organization, singing the National Anthem at four different games.

“I’ve done three Sundays and one Monday night, the Bucs are good to me, when you do an anthem they give you a jersey and put your name on it,” said McKnight.

Billy’s latest number is unlike anything he’s done before. Just ask Ronnie Dee of All Access Recording.

“It has a Guns N Roses vibe, it has a Metallica vibe, it has an Iron Maiden,” said Dee.

The Soul Circus Cowboys hope the song’s impact goes well beyond the Super Bowl and becomes a staple for Buccaneers fans for years to come.

“It's a lot of fun, it’s outrageous, it’s made to be played as a chant in front of 50,000 to 60,000 people any given Sunday,” said McKnight.
