TAMPA, Fla. — GameDay Vodka, an Orlando-based company, visited Ybor City on Thursday to prepare for next week's Super Bowl events.
Ray Horal, co-owner of GameDay Vodka, said crews were testing ideas and figuring out how to bring fans a Super Bowl experience safely during a pandemic.
"We're the exclusive spirit sponsor of the NFL Super Bowl Experience," said GameDay co-owner Ray Horal. "Obviously with the pandemic, it has presented some challenges, but we've pivoted. Our team has really accepted the challenge. We're ready for it."
The NFL Super Bowl experience starts Friday, Jan. 29 on Tampa's Riverwalk.
"So there's a three-mile stretch. We'll have a lot of bars, events, and activation for the fans to give back all throughout that we'll have apparel and giveaways and things that we can have for the fans," said Horal.
Horal said GameDay Vodka is pouring money into the local economy. It hired companies like FH Events, American Media Group. Contractors are building custom on-site outdoor bars and making specialized props.
"Being local and this being in our backyard, we saw it as a tremendous opportunity to support local," said Horal.
GameDay Vodka will have a set-up at Luekens Wine & Spirits in Dunedin on Sunday, Jan. 24. The event will raise money for GameDay's nonprofit Everyday is GameDay.
"It's an event with fans and BBQ...getting ready for the big game day Sunday and hopefully for a much bigger game the next Sunday with our local Tampa Bay Bucs," said Horal.
