TAMPA, Fla. — Super Bowl LV in Tampa is just a few days away. Some Buccaneers fans are getting ready for the big game by showing off their spirit in a unique way.

Outside one Tampa home, Bucs flags, a cat named Gronkowski and the Bucs enthusiasm are all signs of the excitement for the game. If those aren’t giveaways, the pirate ship in the front yard sure is.

“We’re huge Bucs fans, I mean fanatics practically,” said Jackie McCullough. “We love the team and just want to show our love and support.”

McCullough and Jill Angel decided since they can’t be at the big game, to build a Bucs pirate ship in the yard instead.

“Essentially it was all from scrap. So I had a plan in my head of kind of how it should work not being a contractor or a builder and we just kind of came up with a little pattern if you will and with some assistance from our neighbors in making sure we were going in the right direction,” Angel said.

They said neighbors helped, pitching in materials.

“I gotta admit when she told me she was building the pirate ship in the front yard I texted back I’ll watch,” said Joyce Rumfola, who found an old stove pipe in the garage to use as the canon.

No detail was left unnoticed.

“We even had, one of our neighbors made the Vince Lombardi trophy because that’s the treasure for the Super Bowl,” said McCullough.

On game day, they plan to watch the Buccaneers take on the Chiefs on a projector.

“We’ve had a lot of people passing by honking horns already and it’s super exciting, go Bucs! We’re so pumped for the game,” said McCullough.

“Go Bucs! They had an amazing year and we’re just so excited and I’m sure there’s many more people just as excited as we are. So let’s go get that trophy,” said Angel.

In the meantime, they practiced ‘firing the cannon’ on their new pirate ship.
