Longtime Plant High School football coach Robert Weiner has been hired as an assistant coach at Toledo, ESPN reports.
#Toledo is hiring longtime Tampa high school coach Robert Weiner as an assistant coach, according to a source. Weiner led Plant High to four state titles and two runner-up finishes. He informed his team of his departure Thursday morning. He coached Aaron Murray and others.

Weiner led Plant High to four state titles in his time in Tampa.
"This was a great opportunity and I and couldn't turn it down," Weiner said. "But it's the heartache leaving the kids behind. It is really hard."
