Point and the team had been struggling to come to an agreement, but were able to come to terms before the start of the regular season.

That sound you hear? That's a sigh of relief from the collective Tampa Bay fan base.

Point was drafted by the Lightning in 2014 and has increased his point total every year for the three seasons he's been with the Bolts.

The team has three more preseason games left before the first regular season game on Thursday, October 3 at AMALIE Arena.
