Hiring fair for 2021 Superbowl begins, over 500 positions available

TAMPA, Fla- — A large hiring event for the 2021 Superbowl begins on December 16, and officials say around 500 positions need to be filled before the big day.

Career Source is hosting the first in-person job fair since the pandemic. Employers will have entry-level, part-time, and temporary positions available.

The event will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CareerSource Tampa Bay’s main office, 9215 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, FL 33612.

Officials say the job fair is specifically for employers supporting the 2021 Superbowl.

Several employers are expected to hire on the spot. Job seekers are asked to come prepared with resumes, driver’s license/state ID, and their social security cards.

Job seekers must be registered with Employ Florida to participate. Job seekers not registered will be able to use computers at the center to register on the day of the event.

Social distancing will be strictly enforced, and attendees must wear face masks at all times during the job fair.“We couldn’t be more excited to host this event for Bay area job seekers,” said CSTB CEO John Flanagan. “We are all looking forward to hosting an in-person job fair to connect talent to employers again after months of holding virtual hiring events.
