ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- For the second time in the 2019 season, power outage at Tropicana Field has interrupted a Tampa Bay Rays game.
The lights went out during the fourth inning of the Rays series opener against the Los Angeles Angels Thursday night.
The Rays (41-26) were trailing the Angels (33-35) 3-0 when the power went out and delayed the game for over 30 minutes before resuming.
Rays radio announcer Andy Freed shared a video of the power outage on Twitter.

Major League Baseball did not specify how the power went out at the ballpark.
Power outage interrupted a Rays game back in May 12 when the New York Yankees were in town. The outage delayed the game for almost 45 minutes.
