It goes without saying that people who work in virtually every industry are being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are the obvious ones, like healthcare workers and grocery store employees, but with an increasing number of schools set to remain closed through the rest of the school year, many teachers all over the country are also working harder than ever to transition their students to remote learning.

To show appreciation for educators as they drastically shift their focus during this crisis, Reese Witherspoon’s “steeped in Southern charm” fashion brand, Draper James, will be giving away dresses to teachers nationwide.

The company announced its Draper James Loves Teachers initiative and giveaway on Instagram this week, writing, “Dear Teachers: We want to say thank you. During quarantine, we see you working harder than ever to educate our children. To show our gratitude, Draper James would like to give teachers a free dress.”

To apply for a free dress, just complete this online form before midnight on Sunday, April 5. Teachers will be vetted and selected in a lottery. Winning teachers will receive a promo code on April 7 that entitles them to one free dress, with free shipping included. It’s unclear how many dresses — or what styles— will be given away in the promotion.

To qualify, you must be a teacher who usually works in a school and is now working from home due to COVID-19. Homeschool teachers and private music instructors, unfortunately, do not qualify for the giveaway. Eligible applicants must also have a Google email address in order to fill out the form.
