Virtual job fair on Thursday to help transitioning MacDill AFB military members find civilian work

TAMPA, Fla. – CareerSource Tampa Bay is hosting its MacDill Air Force Base Career Fair on Thursday, October 29 to help transitioning military members find civilian work.

“We are pleased to continue to support our local military installation, MacDill AFB, on their job fair,” said Dan Schneckenburger, CareerSource Tampa Bay Director of Business Services. “This is our first year doing this in a virtual platform and we are excited to be able to share this platform as our community rebounds from the COVID-19.”

Nearly 80 employers with more than 2000 positions are participating in the virtual job fair which runs from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The employers have positions available for part-time, full-time, remote and contracting work opportunities in various job sectors including information technology, financial and professional services, hospitality, retail and tourism, transportation and logistics, healthcare, construction and manufacturing.

“We are excited to support MacDill Air Force Base on this virtual job fair utilizing a virtual platform we have been using successfully,” said CareerSource Tampa Bay CEO John Flanagan. “The more we can help connect employers to job seekers, the better.”

Military members wanting to participate in the virtual job fair must first register online at www.CareerSourceTB.com/JobFair.
Job seekers can create a profile and add their resume and a profile photo.
