TAMPA, Fla. — A virtual event taking place Wednesday helps connect active-duty military personnel, honorably discharged veterans and their spouses who are interested in teaching with local school districts.
The Troops to Teach Program is hosting an information session from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a one-hour break from 1 to 2 p.m.
Those interested in becoming a teacher can chat directly with recruiters in Manatee, Pinellas and Polk counties.
The session provides all the information needed to make a decision about becoming a teacher. That includes resume tips, waivers for certifications and exam fees, salary, benefits and interview tips.
