ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Inside the Suncoast Hospice Resale Shoppe in St Petersburg, National Thrift Shop Day has become Thrift Shop Week.

And they didn't stop there.

The hospice foundation decided to offer everything from home good to clothes at half off for the entire week, not just in St Petersburg, but at all three of their Pinellas County stores.

"Clothing and items are priced right to start with but then when they are 50% off it makes it even more advantageous," says Cindy Peightel, who manages the St Pete store.

The proceeds help end-of-life care for people within Pinellas County. The idea to turn it into a week-long sale came when they realized it was safer for shoppers to not crowd in for one single day.

They also decided to offer half-off prices all week to recognize their customers could use some help these days.

"A lot of people are having difficulty with the economics right now so they are really able to save money on clothing," says Peightel.

You have to hurry if you want to get in on the good deals. The week-long sale end on Wednesday, August 19th. The locations are below:
