ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Mom-and-pop shops are back open, but can only bring shoppers in at 25-percent capacity.

But store owners in St. Petersburg are coming up with creative ways to attract businesses and stay afloat. The Downtown Business Association of St. Petersburg just launched a website that showcases local businesses selling gift cards.

More stores and restaurants are getting added to the site. Business leaders say this could make a great gift for Mother's Day -- which is on Sunday, May 10 -- and it can help the small businesses during this challenging time.

"The more that we can support our local businesses, the more we can keep the vibe of St. Petersburg that we've come to love and enjoy," said Tami Simms, president of St. Petersburg Downdown Business Association.
