HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — About $200,000 worth of fishing gear and marine electronics were stolen from a store east of Tampa on Tuesday morning.
Part of the theft was captured on surveillance cameras.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, four people broke through a block wall of a store called West Marine on Highway 41 North in Apollo Beach.
The thieves then disabled the alarm and video systems.
But nearby surveillance video did capture the thieves driving a white Chevrolet Suburban and a U-Haul box truck.
Two of the four people are then seen carrying plywood to the rear of the store.
The Suburban is distinct looking; the white vehicle had black racing striped on the hood, roof and rearm, and an unknown decal on the front windshield.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that lead to an arrest in the case.
