ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A Central Florida animal non-profit organization is trying to find the perfect family for a special 12-year-old dog.

Sniffles is a senior dog born with no nose and crooked teeth. Despite the deformity, he is a very sweet dog.

"He's just a precious old man, everyone at the vet's office has fallen in love with him," said Michelle Wacker with Orange County Animal Services.

"I woke up and he was at the edge of my bed, staring at me and he ran over and did a little twirl and started licking my face," says his foster mom Genesis Diaz.

Poodle and Pooch Rescue say Sniffles is a very sweet dog who was found full of hookworms and whipworms.

Shelter workers says whipworms are only found in dogs kept outside for a long time in a filthy environment. They are currently getting treating Sniffles to get rid of the parasites. He will soon undergo surgery to correct his dental issues.

Poodle and Pooch Rescue expects to officially put Sniffles up for adoption early in January. If you are interested in adopting him, you can apply by visiting the organization's Adoption Application Page.
