TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Authorities are searching for the father who sparked a Missing Child Alert out of Gainesville.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement originally issued a Missing Child Alert for a 4-year-old Gabrinna Nelson on Wednesday evening.
The Alachua County Sheriff's Office later tweeted Gabrinna was found safe but the man who took her, 44-year-old Gary Nelson, remains on the run.

Gary is Gabrinna's father and does not have custodial rights to his daughter. He is 6'1" tall, weighs 175 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
Gary may be traveling in a 1999 red Ford Taurus with Florida tag Y63AMU. If you see him or his car, you are asked to immediately call 911 or the Alachua County Sheriff's Office at (352) 955-1818.
