Florida grand jury formally charges Nikolas Cruz with 17 counts of murder in school shooting

A Florida grand jury has formally indicted Nikolas Cruz in the Parkland school shooting.

Cruz has been charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder in the first degree and 17 counts of attempted murder in the first degree.

Counts 1-17 of the Indictment alleges Cruz killed and murdered Luke Hoyer, Martin Duque-Anquiano, Gina Mantalto, Alexander Schachter, Alaina Petty, Alyssa Alhadeff, Nicholas Dworet, Helena Ramsay, Christopher Hixon, Carmen Schentrup, Aaron Feis, Scott Biegel, Meadow Pollack, Cara Loughran, Joaquin Oliver-Padauy, Jaime Guttenberg and Peter Wang on February 14, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Counts 18-34 of the Indictment alleges that Cruz attempted to murder Ashley Baez, William Olson, Kheshava Managapuram, Justin Colton, Alexander Dworet, Genesis Valentin, Daniela Menescal, Samantha Grady, Samantha Fuentes, Isabel Chequer, Samantha Mayor, Benjamin Wikander, Madeleine Wilford, Marian Kabachenko, Stacey Lippel, Anthony Borges and Kyle Laman on February 14, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
