ORLANDO, Fla. — The family of a Florida woman missing for nearly 13 years is now suing to get access to all of the records from her missing person case.
Jennifer Kesse disappeared from her Orlando home in January of 2006. Now her family is suing to get the entire criminal file.
Kesse's father told us they want the court to allow the family's private investigator to review any leads, tips, clues or witnesses that may help someone in the public come forward with new information.
Her father says he will never give up the search for his daughter, who was 24 at the time of her disappearance.
"After 13 years it's time to give us a chance. I'm her father, I am ultimately responsible as I've always said of finding my daughter. Ultimately it's me," Drew Kesse said.
Orlando Police have previously said turning over files or case notes to the public could jeopardize their investigation as well as set a precedent for future investigations.
