Evacuations underway due to wildfire that has burned more than 100 acres in Florida panhandle

BAY COUNTY, Fla. — Hundreds of people have been forced to leave their homes due to a fast-moving wildfire in Panama City.

The Bay County Sheriff's Office said the fire, which is located just south of Highway 231, has scorched more than 800 acres.

So far, two homes have been destroyed by the wildfire.

Those who live near the area are being asked to take what they can and leave.
