Reports of a 3.7 magnitude earthquake of the east coast of Florida made headlines over the weekend.
The problem? It was manmade and caused by the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Geological Survey said Monday.
The military said they were conducting an experimental explosion 168 nautical miles east-northeast of Daytona Beach Shores.
News outlets in Central Florida said the manmade explosion was designed to test the seaworthiness of a new U.S. Navy vessel.
