Coast Guard crews search for missing passenger who fell overboard early Friday

The Coast Guard is currently searching for a 32-year-old man who went overboard from a cruise ship near the Bahamas. 

Reco Scott, 32, of Decatur, Georgia, reportedly went overboard from the 9th deck of the Carnival Liberty cruise ship 10 miles northwest of Barry Islands, Bahamas at approximately 5 a.m. on Friday.

The cruise ship launched a search and contacted the Coast Guard. 

The Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 helicopter crew deployed to the Bahamas and diverted to the Coast Guard Cutter Charles David, Jr. to search. 

The Carnival Liberty operates out of Port Canaveral, Florida.

The cruise ship continues to search on scene along two other vessels.
