Florida is one step closer to getting a high-speed train from Tampa to Orlando
Brightline already offers trips in South Florida, connecting Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. The new proposal would connect Tampa and Orlando, but could also include stops in Lakeland and at Disney World.

Wednesday afternoon, a selection committee approved Brightline to start negotiations with FDOT and CFX over leasing the right of way.
