On Tuesday, Donaldson's attorneys said they're concerned they will not be ready for the August 10 trial date because they have too many depositions to take.
A decision on the trial will be made at Donaldson's next disposition on April 14, according to the judge.
The state is seeking the death penalty against Donaldson, who is accused of shooting and killing Monica Hoffa, 32, Anthony Naiboa, 20, Benjamin Mitchell, 22, and Ronald Felton, 60.
The pretrial hearing for Donaldson's trial will take place August 4, 2020.
