Steve Evans, the suspect in a fatal night club shooting in Brandon, was arrested at approximately 6 p.m. on Friday in Las Vegas by U.S. Marshals.
An arrest warrant had been issued for Evans on Friday, May 13, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
According to police, Evans is in connection with the shooting death of 24-year-old David Allen Smith that took place at the Taiga Nightclub, 10315 Causeway Blvd. in Brandon.
Smith was shot shortly after 1 a.m in an altercation outside of the club, according to a Hillsborough sheriff's office release. Smith died at a local hospital.
Evan faces charges of first degree murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
