JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Tampa Police and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are investigating an apparent kidnapping that started in Tampa.

Investigators believe a man in his 30s was abducted around 1:02 a.m. on Tuesday in the parking lot of the Four Points by Sheraton Suites located at 4400 W. Cypress.

More than 12 hours later around 1:30 p.m., officers in Jacksonville discovered a man handcuffed at the Ice Lounge located at 8510 Lancrest Drive.

The man told police he was being held against his will and was kidnapped from Tampa. No one was inside the lounge when officers executed a search warrant.

A witness staying at the Sheraton in Tampa called police Tuesday morning after he was awakened by a commotion in the parking lot. He told police he heard a man screaming, "No, Stop."

He also witnessed a van leaving the parking lot.

It is unknown if the victim knew his abductors. The investigation continues.
