It's Veterans Day and lots of businesses around the area are offering freebies to our local veterans and active duty military.
Here's our list:
• Free Classic Big Mac sandwich to all Veterans and Active Duty Military with valid Military I.D at McDonald's of Tampa Bay restaurants
• Frida's Cafe is giving away a FREE donut with military identification. http://www.fridascafe.com/
• IHOP is offering a free stock of their popular Red, White & Blue pancakes to all veterans and activity duty military.
• American Victory Ship in Tampa is offering free daily tours for veterans and their families. www.americanvictory.org
• Quaker Steak & Lube a 10400 49th St North in Pinellas Park is honoring all veterans and active duty military with a 50% discount on all meals on Veteran's Day.
• Mission BBQ is offering a free sandwich and a slice of cake to veterans and active duty service members. Two Tampa locations -one at 13612 Bruce B Downs and the other in Town & Country at 5602 West Waters. National anthem performed daily at noon.
• Empire Beauty Schools is offering free haircuts to veterans and active duty personnel. www.empire.edu
• Urgent care center, American Family Care is offering free flu shots to any veteran with proper id. They have 160 clinics nationwide https://www.afcurgentcare.com/
• Publix - 10% discount on groceries on November 11th. This excludes prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery tickets, postage stamps, and money services. Must present military ID.
• Pinellas County is offering free parking at county parks on Veteran's Day. Parks include all county boat ramps, Howard Park in Tarpon Springs, Sand Key Park in Clearwater and Fort De Soto Park in Tierra Verde. www.pinellascounty.org/park
• Red Robin Tavern is offering a free double burger with bottomless steak fries to all veterans and active duty personnel www.redrobin.com/veteransday
• JCPenney is offering a 5% discount from Nov 10-13 to current and former veterans and their family members. Valid military ID required.
• Olive Garden restaurants is offering a free entree from a special menu for active duty and veterans
• Longhorn Steakhouse is offering a free appetizer or dessert for anyone with a military id.
• Super 8 Hotels will have special "Reserved" parking spots on their properties that are just for veterans.
• Free "Bang Bang Shrimp" at Bone Fish Grill for all active duty and retired military. Valid ID required.
• Tampa Premium Outlets - VIP savings pass for active duty and retired military. Visit guest services and present a military ID.
• Free Bus Rides - Both HART (Hillsborough Area Regional Transit) and PSTA (Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority) are offering free bus rides today for active duty military and veterans. Military ID needed.
