Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office are searching for the man behind a recent attack on a Tampa trail.

At approximately 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, February 24th, a woman was walking westbound on the Northdale Lake Park Trail approaching the exit of the trail into her neighborhood when a suspect attacked her from behind and threw her to the ground.

The woman told deputies the suspect was able to remove her shorts and then ran eastbound on the trail, holding the victim's shorts over his head.

The woman sustained several cuts and bruises as a result of the attack.

Deputies have released a composite sketch of the suspect and surveillance photos of the possible suspect in the area of the attack.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, approximately 5'10" tall with brown hair and 200 to 230 pounds with a stocky build. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark grey "Columbia style" short sleeve button-down shirt with khaki shorts, black Nike athletic shoes, two-tone baseball cap and mirrored aviator style sunglasses.

The suspect may have also attacked another woman on the same trail within the last month.

Anyone with any information in reference to this  incident is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
