Pinellas Park police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting incident at a neighborhood park last year, authorities said.

Roberto Torres,  38, was arrested at his Pinellas Park home this weekend. He was charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.

According to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office news release, the shooting occurred on July 28 at Sparkle Lake Park in the 4500 block of 84th Avenue North in Pinellas Park. The incident happened on a neighborhood basketball court after an argument broke out between two groups of people over the use of the courts.
