SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. — A nursing assistant is accused of allegedly sexually assaulting an 85-year-old resident at a senior living facility in Sun City Center.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, between June 6 and June 8, 35-year-old Roberto Kirkland, of Ruskin, sexually assaulted the 85-year-old male victim.
At the time of the incident, Kirkland was working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Brookdale Senior Living, where the victim was a resident.
During a non-custodial interview, deputies say Kirkland admitted to the offense. The victim related that this act was committed against his will and without his consent.
Kirkland was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail. He is charged with one count of Sexual Battery.
