RIVERVIEW, Fla. — Deputies arrested three men on Saturday linked to a gas station skimmer investigation in Riverview.

Yunior Torres-Herrera, 33, Alain Garcia Blanco, 32, and David Fernandez, 20, have each been charged with one count of possession of a skimming device and three counts of possession of burglary tools.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says that since October 4, there have been multiple skimmers discovered at gas pumps at a Chevron gas station located at 13202 Summerfield Boulevard in Riverview.

Around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, surveillance cameras recorded a white Ford F250 arriving at the same gas station. Video shows a passenger walked over to a pump as the driver pulled up next to the pump to block view of the suspect from the street.

Deputies say that the suspect attempted to open multiple pumps, which caused damage to the equipment.

The pickup truck with three occupants was stopped by a deputy after leaving the gas station. Detectives conducted a search of the vehicle, locating a skimming device component (modified USB with a wire harness), a gas station pump key, a crowbar and a long flathead screwdriver.

Torres-Herrera, Blanco and Fernandez were arrested on scene. Deputies say more charges could follow, as detectives work to determine if the three suspects are linked to other skimmer cases in and outside of the area.
