SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — The Sarasota Police Department (SPD) responded to a shooting before 6 p.m. on Thursday on the 2900 block of Gillespie Ave.
According to authorities, a teenager was shot and is in the hospital.
SPD said this is an active investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
