Police are investigating a shooting in Sarasota Friday morning.
The shooting happened in the 1500 block of 20th Street in Sarasota. Police say one victim has been transported to Sarasota Memorial with non-life threatening injuries.
Two suspects are on the run in a dark colored vehicle, according to police.
"The two suspects came up to the victim shot him in the leg and left the area," said police spokesperson Genevieve Judge.
Neighbors are concerned about violence in the area. They said this was the third shooting in the Newtown community this week.
"It concerns me cause there’s young children around," said neighbor Rose Mckenzie.
