Man who robbed Walmart Neighborhood Market is charged with armed robbery

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Sarasota Police find and arrest a man who committed an armed robbery on Friday.  

The robbery happened at the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 3500 N. Tamiami Trais on Sunday. Officers say around 9:00 a.m. Christopher Boston, 39, walked to the check cashing area of the store and demanded cash. He grabbed a large quantity and left the store. 

The suspect was initially described as a black man in his 30s. He is from 5'10" to 6 feet tall, weighing from 165 to 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, dark T-shirt under a dark red flannel long sleeve shirt with a dark tote string backpack. 

Boston is charged with one count of armed robbery. He is facing possible additional charges in Manatee County.
