Sarasota County in need of poll workers for upcoming election

Sarasota County is asking for people to help voters cast their ballots in the upcoming election.

The county needs poll workers for the August 18 Primary as well as the November 3 general election.

To work, you must be a registered voter in Sarasota County who can read, write and speak English.

You must also complete state-mandated training and be willing to work at least 14 hours on election day from 6 a.m. until after the polls close at 7 p.m.

You will be compensated for training and working at the polls.
