A new traffic website launches this week for commuters in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
“We have travel time information and we have live video feeds,” said Traffic Center Manager Fabio Capillo.
Capillo said there are about 230 cameras located throughout the two counties. He said residents can view up to four intersections at one time.
“Now you know what to expect, what is ahead of you,” said Capillo.
Melanie Sallae works on the bridge to Anna Maria Island. She said the bridge gets very congested on the weekends.
"Some people when they are sitting out here in the traffic they get so frustrated they will end up turning around,” said Sallae.
Traffic center managers said commuters can monitor the road conditions anytime on the website. Click here to view the traffic cameras.
