SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — The Venice Police and Fire Rescue responded to a small helicopter crash on Saturday.
Police said the helicopter crashed into the fence between the Venice Municipal Airport and the Festival Grounds.
The pilot was taken by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No further details are available currently, and no events are taking place at the Airport Festival Grounds this weekend.
