BRADENTON, Fla. — Bradenton Police arrested a 71-year-old man on child pornography charges Friday following a joint effort with the FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force and the Palmetto Police Department.
Police say when 71-year-old Dale Trotman sent his computer to Ohio for repairs, repairmen found child porn on it and immediately notified authorities.
The three departments then worked together to execute a search warrant of his home on Thursday.
Following interviews, Trotman admitted to detectives that he used online accounts to upload, download and view child porn.
He was charged with 20 counts of sexual performance of a child, which is a second-degree felony. He is currently being held at Manatee County Jail.
