SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — On the eastern edge of North Port a new stadium is breathing new life into the area. CoolToday Park is the new spring home of the Atlanta Braves. It’s a $125 million project.
“Everything will spring up around this, this will have a downtown feel with restaurants, pubs, hotels, a great place to live,” said County Commissioner Charles Hines.

The stadium features about 8,000 seats, WiFi for fans, and 360 seating. VP of Operations, Mike Dunn, said there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
"You can see the games from all perspectives,” said Dunn.
Sarasota County owns the building, so they plan to hosts events in the facility when the Braves are not using it. Hines said the facility will be a huge economic driver for south Sarasota County.
"We are already talking to businesses in Atlanta that might want to expand down to here so it’s endless possibilities,” said Hines.
The first game is this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
