2 'armed and dangerous' suspects wanted for first-degree murder, Polk Sheriff says

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says two suspects are wanted for first-degree murder related to a shooting on Monday and should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to a press release, Tarmetris Daniel Mack, 18, and Alfred Higgs, Jr., 17, killed a Poinciana man on Monday at a 7-Eleven during a drug deal.

The sheriff's office says the victim met the suspects at the gas station on Marigold Avenue in Kissimmee/Poinciana to sell them a bag of marijuana. Authorities say the suspects robbed the victim and the two parties exchanged gunfire.

Surveillance video from the 7-Eleven shows the gunfire and the suspects running away.

The victim was fatally shot. Their identity has not been released at this time.

Mack is 6'1" tall, 170 lbs., and Higgs is 5'8" tall, 145 lbs. The sheriff's office says they could be in Mack's 2016 blue Chevrolet Malibu with FL tag PVZB39.

The sheriff's office says Higgs has a previous criminal history of 7 felonies and 6 misdemeanors in Homestead, Osceola and Polk counties. According to the release, his history includes carrying a concealed weapon, vehicle theft, trespassing, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
