LAKELAND, Fla. — The Joinery, Lakeland's first food hall, is now requiring masks for all guests while they spend time inside the building.

RECOMMENDED: Where are masks mandatory to wear in the Tampa Bay area?

According to a press release, the change goes into effect Tuesday, June 23. Team members are also required to wear masks.

The food hall asks guests to wear a mask while inside until they get their order and find a seat. They also ask that guests put the mask back on when they leave their seats.

"We appreciate everyone’s cooperation + support as we all navigate this ongoing difficult + unprecedented situation," the release said.

Lakeland city leaders met on Monday to discuss requiring masks, but the mandate failed to make it to a vote.
