Tenoroc High School football coach arrested on drug charges

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Tenoroc High School’s head football coach was arrested on drug charges. A Polk County deputy stopped Laroni Gallishaw at 11:40 p.m. Friday night for an expired tag near Memorial Boulevard near Chestnut Road in Lakeland.

As a deputy approached the car, he noticed Gallishaw attempting to hide something in the car between the seat and the center console.

The deputy asked to search the car and found a razor blade and a small amount of cocaine in a cup holder.

Gallishaw as transported to Polk County Jail.

While waiting to be booked, deputies noticed Gallishaw reach into his underwear and attempt to hide something in the seat next to him on the holding cell. The deputy went into the holding cell and found rock cocaine and marijuana.

Gallishaw was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Introduction of Contraband into the jail, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Gallishaw has bonded out of jail.
