POLK COUNTY, Fla. — A Polk County youth and family services worker who was arrested in December on child porn charges is now facing an additional 165 charges, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.

William Smith, 28, was originally arrested for possessing and trading child pornography images of boys and girls between 5 and 12 years old. Authorities say after his arrest they found the additional images on his laptop. They depicted children as young as 12 to 24 months engaged in sexual conduct, according to authorities.
Smith used to work as a counselor with Youth and Family Alternatives, according to authorities. They say he also assisted school guidance counselors and parents/guardians with truant children. Smith previously worked at Peace River in the crisis stabilization unit, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said during his initial arrest.
Smith has been in the Polk County Jail since his initial arrest. None of the victims his the photos has been identified, authorities say.
